Baking Albacore Tuna?
How long would you bake albacore tuna and what degrees?(previously frozen)
Answer The thickness of the Albacore tuna will determine the amount of time you will need to bake it. The general rule of thumb is 10 minutes per 1 inch thickness of the fish.
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Make sure to oil both sides of the tuna.
Since this tuna is previously frozen you will want to make sure it is cooked thoroughly. Fresh tuna can be left on the rare side.
Another option for you is to broil your tuna.
Preheat the broiler and raise the oven rack about 2 to 3 inches below the heating element. Broil for approximately 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
Note: Oven temperatures are known to not be very accurate, so watch your fish while cooking and adjust times.
