Super Bowl Party Dill-icious Shrimp Dip

This Dill-icious Shrimp dip can be made ahead of time. You can substitute the shrimp, with crab meat. I like to serve it at room temperature, so I take it out a few hours ahead of game time. Serve it with your choice of crackers or Melba toast.

I also like to cook my own shell on shrimp, peel, devein and dice them up.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup diced shrimp
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup half and half cream
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • Crackers
Directions
  1. Combine all of ingredients
  2. Mix well
  3. Makes about 2 cups
Note: Make this a day ahead and refrigerate the over all flavor will be better.
This recipe is adapted from a recipe in the Seafood Adventures from the Gulf and South Atlantic.
