Easy Shrimp Scampi Recipe

Although this easy shrimp scampi recipe is incredibly quick to make, it turns out delicious and is just as good as you would find in some of the best seafood restaurants.

Make sure you use raw peeled and deveined shrimp for this garlic shrimp recipe, perferably a gulf or ocean caught shrimp. If you really like garlic you might want to increase the cloves to 4.

You can serve this with pasta or just have some nice warm crusty braed ready to soak up all the juice.

  • 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon, lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Coarse ground pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon, grated lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons, minced parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce

  1. Peel/devein Shrimp and rinse, set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium high heat add the butter, green onions, garlic and lemon juice.
  3. Cook about 3 minutes or until the butter is nice and bubbly.
  4. Add your Shrimp.
  5. Cook, turning frequently, for about 5 minutes or until Shrimp turn pink.
  6. Add lemon rind, parsley, hot sauce, salt and pepper, toss lightly.
  7. Serve immediately.
