Grilled Salmon Fillet Recipe with Cucumber-Dill Sauce

This grilled salmon fillet recipe is just made for summer time grilling. Dill is always popular with Salmon and other fish and seafood. The cucumbers just make this sauce taste so fresh and the bell peppers add flavor and color to the sauce.

My wife is just not a big fan of having skin on her fish when served. So I either remove it for her or better yet I try to buy skinless salmon fillets.

If you happen to find some skinless salmon fillets, I would suggest you grill them in a fish grill basket.


  • 4 - 6 to 8 oz Salmon fillets
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup plain lowfat yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill (chopped fine)
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper (chopped fine)
  • 1/3 cup peeled, seeded, and finely chopped cucumber
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard


  1. Melt butter
  2. In a small bowl add 1 tablespoon of dill, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  3. In a large bowl add the yogurt, sour cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, cucumber, bell pepper, rest of the dill,and the rest of the salt and pepper
  4. Stir well
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high
  6. Brush Salmon with butter mixture
  7. Place the Salmon on the grill
  8. Grill the first side for about 4 to 5 mintues
  9. Turn Salmon and brush with butter mixture
  10. Grill for another 4 to 5 minutes
  11. Remove from grill
  12. Plate them up and add cucumber/sauce to the top of each
