Lemon Garlic Shrimp

Easy Grilled Shrimp Recipe

This lemon garlic shrimp recipe, combines many of the seasonings that add wonderful flavor to shrimp without overpowering the flavor of the shrimp.

Make sure you have all your side dishes ready, because you will want to eat these as soon as they come off the grill.


  • 1 lb. jumbo shrimp (21 to 25 per lb.)
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice, fresh squeezed
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons, lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoon, dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon, cayenne pepper
  • Pinch of black pepper


  1. Peel and devein your shrimp leaving the tail on
  2. Place shrimp in a gallon size plastic bag and set bag in a bowl, Just in case it leaks
  3. In a medium size bowl add the lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, parsley, lemon zest, mustard, cayenne pepper and black pepper, mix well
  4. Reserve a small amount of marinade for basting
  5. Pour the marinade into the bag of shrimp, zip the bag and gently squeeze the shrimp to get them all coated good
  6. Refrigerate for 30 minutes (no longer)
  7. Thread the Shrimp onto a soaked wooden or metal skewers
  8. Insert one skewer through the Shrimp towards the tail, insert the other skewer towards the head of the shrimp
  9. On a clean grill over medium high heat, grill shrimp for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side
  10. Brush reserved marinade over shrimp while cooking
