Length of Time Cooking Fish ?
I heard a food critique state that the longer fish is cooked, the fishier it tastes. Is that true? I like my fish cooked well, and am wondering if I am creating more of a fishy taste than if I'd cook it to medium, like served in most restaurants. Have you found the longer you cook fish, the fishier the fish tastes?
Cooking your fish longer will not give it a fishy taste. Cooking fish to well done will only take out more moisture. If you are experiencing fish that have a fishy flavor to you, it is the fish itself or it has been mishandled sometime. Fish that have been in the freezer to long with have an off-flavor too.
