Marinated Grilled Shrimp Recipe

Plan ahead for this marinated grilled shrimp recipe as you will need to let it marinade at least one hour before grilling.

Use at least a large shrimp or even better use a colossal shrimp, they will look very impressive on the plate, if you are serving guest. You can also add more hot sauce for some extra heat and flavor.

Ingredients

2 pounds peeled and deveined shrimp
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
6 cloves garlic (crushed)
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 cup fresh basil (finely chopped)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a shallow dish (except shrimp)
Mix well
Add shrimp and toss to coat them well
Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours
Stir occasionally to keep the marinaed on the shrimp
Remove shrimp from marinade ( reserve the marinade for basting)
Put the shrimp on skewers (if using wood skewers make to soak in water first so they won't burn)
Grill over medium-high heat for about 3 to 4 minutes per side
