Raw Tasting Shrimp When Cooked
When I cook frozen defrosted shrimp they taste as though they are not cooked through. This happens if I stir fry them or add them to a pasta sauce. Sometimes it happens when I boil them for shrimp appetizers, too.
Is there any reason why this is happening?
I really don't have a good answer for you, without seeing and tasting the shrimp.
Before you cook the next batch of shrimp, you might want to soak them in salted ice water for about an hour. Make sure to rinse thoroughly before cooking them.
