Salty Cod ?

Is cod supposed to have a naturally salty flavor? I buy it fresh at a well known health food store and it is always salty. I either eat it the same day or freeze it.

Yes, good fresh Cod will have a slight salty flavor. I don't notice it that much but I like salt. I have a friend that doesn't use any extra salt at all in his foods and he can detect salt when I can't.
