Shrimp Spaghetti Recipe

If you like Shrimp scampi, I'm sure you will like this Shrimp spaghetti recipe. This shrimp recipe is not made with a tradiontial red sauce, but with a scampi sauce with added Italian herbs and seasonings.

This recipe just serves two, so if you are making it for more people please adjust the recipe to fit the number of people you are serving.

You can use any size of shrimp you prefer for this recipe. A jumbo shrimp will of course gibve you fewer shrimp in the sauce, but will be more impressive if you are serving this to guest.


  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
  • Black pepper
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb. peeled and deviened shrimp, raw


  1. Cook your spaghetti al dente
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat add your butter, olive oil, garlic, salt, oregano and basil
  3. Once this is hot add the shrimp
  4. Saute till the shrimp just becomes opaque
  5. Add parsley to the the shrimp and sauce mixture
  6. Stir well and pour over your spaghetti
  7. Add pepper to taste and parmesan cheese
  8. Serve immediately
